Rutherford ATHENA Award Program Announces Patrons Nontraditional Scholarship For 2025Rutherford ATHENA Award Program will bestow a scholarship during the 2025 ATHENA award ceremony. In celebration of the Rutherford ATHENA Awards Program's twelfth year of existence, the program will be awarding up to $5,000 in scholarship money to deserving women returning to school later in life. The ATHENA Non-Traditional Scholarship” will be awarded to a Rutherford County woman who is pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree later in life. See official rules on rutherfordcable.org. Among other requirements; each applicant must complete a 300-word essay describing how they have embodied ATHENA’s characteristics of wisdom, strength, and justice in their own life and endeavors.
