Join the RUTHERFORD Cable Mentoring Program!

Applications are open for the RUTHERFORD Cable Mentoring Program, sponsored by First Horizon Bank. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative experience!

Program Overview

The Mentoring Program connects experienced professionals with less experienced individuals, fostering a developmental relationship where mentees receive support, guidance, and feedback in a collaborative, constructive, and confidential environment.

Mentoring Defined

Mentoring is a relationship where a mentor helps a mentee improve skills, discuss challenges, and learn from mistakes. Mentees benefit from enhanced understanding, personal growth, and professional development.

Commitment Required

Participants should expect:

  • One and half hours/month for an in-person group session (lunch provided).
  • One hour/month for individual mentor meetings, scheduled at your convenience.
  • Additional time for readings, studies, and personal development.

Successful mentees typically have one or two clear goals, such as:

  • Learning a new skill
  • Receiving feedback on current competencies
  • Clarifying career goals
  • Networking, project critique, and personal reflections
