Program Overview
The Mentoring Program connects experienced professionals with less experienced individuals, fostering a developmental relationship where mentees receive support, guidance, and feedback in a collaborative, constructive, and confidential environment.
Mentoring Defined
Mentoring is a relationship where a mentor helps a mentee improve skills, discuss challenges, and learn from mistakes. Mentees benefit from enhanced understanding, personal growth, and professional development.
Commitment Required
Participants should expect:
- One and half hours/month for an in-person group session (lunch provided).
- One hour/month for individual mentor meetings, scheduled at your convenience.
- Additional time for readings, studies, and personal development.
Successful mentees typically have one or two clear goals, such as:
- Learning a new skill
- Receiving feedback on current competencies
- Clarifying career goals
- Networking, project critique, and personal reflections
